There are so many wonderful things to do and enjoy in Payson such as: Fishing at...Green Valley Park, Roosevelt Lake, Woods Canyon Lake or Willow Springs Lake. Antiquing at Granny's Attic, Somewhere in Time, Western Village, and the Carpenter's Wife in Payson. Eating at local restaurants: Macky's, Fargo's, Small Cafe, and The Beeline, and the new Chili's (It isn't local...but it's good!). Visiting Natural Bridge. It makes for a great hike and some beautiful scenery. Also, a great place to take a picnic.  Hiking the Rim. There are some great trails, such as: Horton Creek, Barnhardt Trail, and several trails right here at the WD Ranch. Partying and wagering at the Matazal Casino. Viewing the latest films at Sawmill Crossings. It's a great way to spend a relaxing Saturday or Sunday afternoon. There also is Planet Video and Blockbuster Video for movie rentals. Sitting around a campfire enjoying the Light of the Western Stars. Visiting the Museum of Rim Country Archeology. This is a great place to be educated on the tools of archeology. Exploring the various art galleries here and in Pine.
You can also: Attend a free Concert in the Park at Green Valley Park. Concerts take place in June and July. Watch the bucking broncos at the August Doin's at Payson's Multi-Event Center. Enjoy the August Strawberry Festival in Strawberry, AZ. Get tickets to the Payson Art League's Art Show in May and February. Watch the fireworks on July 4th.
